Window Genie of Charlotte Gives Back to the Community

June 24, 2012

Peter Cogan and Window Genie get involved in his community through the program, Windows 4 Wishes. Window Genie sponsors local sports teams with uniforms, donates to multiple organizations.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) June 23, 2012

Window Genie is the Cincinnati based franchisor of home services known to “Clean Windows and a Whole Lot More!” Doing a whole lot more now includes giving back to the community through the program, Windows 4 Wishes.

Window Genie´s culture is defined by 5 foundational pillars, one being “community citizenship.” Windows 4 Wishes is the corporate initiative encouraging community outreach amongst all Window Genie franchise owners. Each locally owned and operated Window Genie location owner will choose an organization/charity to benefit in their community. With Windows 4 Wishes, there are four ways in which a franchisee can give back to the organization/charity of their choice: donate money, volunteer their time, promote that organization for free and/or offer free Window Genie services.

Peter Cogan, Window Genie owner in Charlotte, is making an effort to use his business to better his community. “We chose a variety of organizations to benefit in different ways. Windows 4 Wishes encouraged us to give back to who and what we personally care about, so instead of choosing one, we decided to help out in a few ways!” said Cogan.

On behalf of Window Genie, Cogan sponsored his son´s baseball team with uniforms as well as his sister-in-law´s softball team. His son´s team sports a uniform with the Window Genie logo and contact information on it. His sister-in-laws team jerseys are Window Genie shirts with a jersey number displayed on the back.

Cogan also chose to donate money to the Muscular Dystrophy Association because of a network partner´s connection to the organization. To help his son´s class he also donated to the American Cancer Society during a school fundraiser for the organization.

There is, however, one organization that has remained closest to Cogan and his family. 10 years ago Cogan lost his father to Melanoma, so he has been donating annually to the Sloan Kettering Cancer Research for Melanoma research. “It´s something that is extremely close to my heart,” Cogan says. “Window Genie wants to help make a difference by supporting an organization dedicated towards helping other families facing Melanoma. We want to raise awareness in the community about this organization and what they do to help others facing Melanoma and various cancers.”
