Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) July 03, 2012

Plaintiffs´ counsel Neidra Wilson has joined the Cherry Hill, N.J., office of New York mesothelioma lawyers Weitz & Luxenberg, P.C., as an associate attorney, the firm today announced.

Wilson — originally of Atlanta and now a resident of the Camden County, N.J., borough of Hi-Nella — will focus on cases in which individuals exposed to asbestos have developed diseases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis, Weitz & Luxenberg said.

“Asbestos is a serious health problem that affects thousands of innocent victims each year,” said Weitz & Luxenberg. “Our clients — those who have been exposed to the toxic material — retain us because they cry out for justice; Mrs. Wilson will greatly help us in our efforts to see that they receive it because she brings to this fight the right blend of energy, intellect and litigation skills.”

The firm said it has to date secured more than $6.2 billion in verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients harmed by asbestos (and an additional $1.1 billion for clients injured by environmental disasters, defective drugs and medical devices, and other mishaps).

Atlanta-born Wilson is a member of the attorneys´ bar in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is admitted to represent clients before the U. S. District Court in New Jersey, Weitz & Luxenberg said.

The firm added that, prior to joining Weitz & Luxenberg, Wilson worked as an attorney at a private New Jersey law practice and, before that, as a volunteer lawyer in the office of the attorney general of New Jersey. Earlier, she clerked for a New Jersey Superior Court judge, the Hon. Kathryn A. Brock, Weitz & Luxenberg said.

Wilson was an honors student at Rutgers University School of Law as well as at The College of William & Mary, where she received a degree in international relations, the firm said.
