Popcorn Palace co-hosted the 3rd annual POP fest which was a smashing success for those in attendance, bringing fans of both beer and popcorn a taste sensation the likes of which they would not be able to experience anywhere else. This year, the event featured a whole new variety of impressive beers to be paired with gourmet popcorn flavors to delight the taste buds. Craft beer fans got to try out amazing and often zany flavors such as Cheddarific, Cinnamon Sin, Pink Peppercorn, Wild Blueberry and Currycopia. Brewers in attendance included Half Acre Brewing Co, Two Brothers Brewing, Revolution Brewing Co and many more local favorites. Along with the brew and popcorn, live music from bands such as Overman, Jack Avery’s Kin and The Jack Pines helped keep the mood fun for all in attendance. Popcorn Palace even connected with fans via its Facebook page, using social media to make it easy for those who wanted to come to get a quick reminder so they would not miss out on the festivities.

Popcorn Palace holds the event each year at the Rock Bottom Brewery in Warrenville, Illinois and has experienced success each time. Fans love a chance to sample the leading provider of gourmet popcorn along with an eccentric selection of beers from around the region. The Popcorn Palace has been featured on The Food Network cable channel and is well known across the nation for providing a tremendous selection of gourmet popcorn flavors designed to delight a diverse array of palettes. Those who were at the event got a chance to taste two new beers brewed from popcorn, as well, something that happens at each POP Fest and draws a great deal of attention from attendees.

Tickets for the event were priced at just $25, which included a glass for tasting, thereby making it an event that many popcorn fans consider mandatory. Pairing beer and popcorn is, as Popcorn Palace explains, an American tradition and when the flavors go gourmet, it only makes sense that the beers would tend towards the more elaborate flavors that craft beers can provide. The unique event is one of a kind in the nation and furthers the Popcorn Palace’s reputation for pairing perfectly with events and fundraisers, something that gourmet popcorn is often chosen for.
