Rollinglobe and the Rainforest Alliance Team up to Launch a Travel Booking Platform Dedicated to Sustainable Travel

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 18, 2012

Rollinglobe Media, a New York-based online travel agency, and the Rainforest Alliance, a leading international sustainability nonprofit, announced today the launch of a co-branded sustainable travel booking platform to promote sustainable tourism across the globe. Sustainable tourism businesses are those that are profitable while conserving natural resources and benefiting local communities.

The platform enables travel enthusiasts to FIND & BOOK experiences from sustainable-verified resorts throughout Latin America. By booking a sustainable trip, travelers minimize the negative effects of tourism and support sustainable growth of the environment and local communities visited.

“The bookable experiences include spa treatments in volcanic hot springs and wildlife tours through Manuel Antonio National Park,” says Michael Nobiletti, founder and president of Rollinglobe. “We´re also featuring adventure-philanthropy excursions to far-off destinations such as the Inca Trial, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mumbai, Patagonia, and Vietnam´s Mekong Delta.”

The launch of this page comes at the start of Follow the Frog Week, September 17-23. Follow the Frog Week encourages consumers to support a healthier planet by looking for the Rainforest Alliance´s green frog — a symbol of sustainability — whenever they buy products and services.

Rollinglobe invites all sustainable-verified tourism vendors to express their support for sustainability by joining the platform and featuring their packages on the platform. Tourism vendors interested in applying should visit rollinglobe.com/vendors.
