The Prevent Distracted Driving Association (PDDA.org) develops a new outreach program to educate and motivate thousands of adults and teens on the dangers of texting while driving.

Bossier City, Louisianna (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

Quintin Hardtner, the Executive Director of PDDA.org was recently interviewed on the Success Mashup Radio Show about their new program designed to get the message out about their cause even faster.

People can now visit PDDA’s website or their Facebook page and go through this new program. All they have to do is go to http://www.PDDA.org/Pledge – after they get there, they are instructed to watch the entire length of a very powerful ten minute video, provided by AT&T. Once the individual watches the entire video he or she is instructed to click a button that takes him or her to the page where he or she can now Take The Pledge to not text and drive anymore.

After officially taking the pledge, they are then re-directed to the page where they can order their complimentary wristband. (Plus a nominal shipping & handling fee) These wristbands are normally $5 plus shipping and handling.

PDDA.org co-founder and executive director Quintin Hardtner on how they plan to make sure their program is effective on teen drivers as well as adult drivers who are partaking in this dangerous habit: “We plan to stay in touch with everyone who takes the pledge by using email, Facebook, Twitter, and all the other social channels people are hanging out on these days. We believe it is not just about taking the pledge not to text and drive, it is about wearing a wristband, setting the example, being consciously aware and spreading the message to others.”

One of the other big programs PDDA.org is using to get the message out is going to local high schools and church groups educating the students on the dangers of texting and driving by using emotionally powerful videos, having them sign a pledge not to text while driving, and giving each student who signs the pledge a free wristband and a certificate to take home with them.
