Delta Travel Center in Valencia is Promoting New Specials for Travel to Alaska

February 26, 2013

Delta Travel Services is offering new specials for travel club members to receive reduced rates on their travel to Alaska.

Valencia, CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2013

According to Delta Travel Management in Valencia, Frannie Jules, “Alaska is one of the most requested vacations from our members, so we are always looking for someway to get our members the best prices on travel to Alaska, or anywhere else for that matter. And when we do get great deals, we let our members know that this is the time to book and get the most savings.”

Because everyone travels a little different, the details can vary too greatly, in that some may want a hotel, some may want a timeshare resort. The best deals are for those who travel within 60 days and take advantage of the Hot Weeks. Though even with hotels, members can receive a price of up to 40% less than they’ve seen on a website. Members can receive up to 30% off on their car rentals.

Delta Travel is a private, members only travel club. Couples will attend a sales presentation at their local offices, pay a one time fee, and be able to book travel at cost through Delta Travel.

And while Alaska is mostly visited via a cruise, many long to spend time in Alaska, much like they would a week in Hawaii. And it’s said you can’t go wrong visiting Alaska anytime between May 10 and September 15. The days are long, nature is in full bloom, and the air is alive with energy.

Most tours operate mid-May to mid-September, with the exception of those into Denali (mid-June to end of August). Peak season is mid-June to mid-August. Before and after, some tours and hotels offer “shoulder season” discounts of 10 — 25%.

June 15 — July 15 is the best time to visit Alaska but Alaskan weather is not predictable. You can come in August and bask in sunshine or in June and face “horizontal rain” (driving rain plus strong winds). The good thing is that Alaskans have learned not to let weather interfere with their plans–or mood.

To book a trip to Alaska, one must be a member in good standing with Delta Travel.
