Quad Cities Affordable Assisted Living Community to Host Open House

Heritage Woods of Moline, a BMA affordable assisted living community in the Quad Cities, is hosting an Open House on March 9. The community serves seniors of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Heritage Woods of Moline, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting an Open House from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9.

The community, which is located at 5500 46th Ave. Dr. in Moline, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“We invite you to take advantage of this special opportunity to see Heritage Woods and learn about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available,” says Meghan Chasek, Administrator. “Our community provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home.”

“Residents of Heritage Woods benefit from the opportunity to live in a residential apartment-home environment and receive personal assistance and help with medications,” says Chasek.

Each of the private apartments at Heritage Woods features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities no matter what the weather,” says Chasek.

The community is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the help and assistance that the need,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA. “Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”

The communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Aledo, Ottawa and Sterling, Illinois, and the Grand Prairie affordable assisted living community in Macomb, Illinois.

A BMA affordable assisted living community is being developed in Freeport, Illinois, in partnership with the Stephenson County Nursing Center Foundation. Heritage Woods of Freeport is scheduled to open for occupancy this summer.
