Heritage Woods of Moline, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting an Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

The community, which is located at 5500 46th Ave. Dr. in Moline, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

The Open House will feature entertainment by Karen Michaels.

“We invite you to come and enjoy the entertainment, see Heritage Woods, and learn about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available at our community,” says Meghan Chasek, Administrator.

“We provide a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Chasek. “Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications.”

Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air-conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special events,” says Chasek.

The community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA operates 36 senior living communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA. “Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”

Communities managed by BMA Management include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Aledo, Belvidere, Ottawa, Rockford and Sterling, Illinois. BMA also manages the Grand Prairie affordable assisted living community in Macomb, Illinois.

The company is developing a Heritage Woods affordable assisted living community in Freeport, Illinois, in partnership with the Stephenson County Nursing Center Foundation. Reservations for the community, which is scheduled to open for occupancy this summer, are being accepted.
