Women’s Excellence Nurse Practitioners Present on Bladder Control, Endometriosis, Osteoporosis, and Menopause at Community Centers in Lake Orion and Clarkston, Michigan
Women´s Excellence is striving to be the most comprehensive women´s health care practice in Southeastern Michigan. Nurse practitioners, Debbie Henry, MSN, NP-C and Shannon Hill, MSN, CNP have scheduled presentations in May and June 2013 on bladder control, endometriosis/chronic pelvic pain, osteoporosis, and menopause at community centers in Lake Orion and Clarkston.

Women´s Excellence offers comprehensive health care services for women in Southeastern Michigan. Located in the heart of Lake Orion, Women´s Excellence has distinctive specialties to help women with specific health care issues. Women´s Excellence in Bladder Control, Women´s Excellence in Endometriosis, and Women´s Excellence in Menopause are just 3 specialties under the Women´s Excellence umbrella. Nurse practitioners (NPs), Debbie Henry, MSN, NP-C of Women´s Excellence in Bladder Control and Women´s Excellence in Endometriosis and Shannon Hill, MSN, CNP, of Women´s Excellence in Menopause are taking the time in May and June 2013 to reach out to the community at local community centers in Lake Orion and Clarkston to educate women about the disease states and common issues women deal with during the childbearing years and beyond.
Henry and Hill debuted their Women´s Excellence community education circuit recently at The Orion Center located at 1335 Joslyn Rd. in Lake Orion on Monday, May 6th at 6:30 pm. The 2 NPs spoke to a group of 7 women. Hill spoke first about osteoporosis for about 30 minutes and Henry followed for an additional 30 minutes on bladder control. Food, beverage, light snacks, notepads, and pens were provided to the participants complements of Women´s Excellence. The atmosphere and setting provided for an easy back and forth between the NPs and the participants. One participant commented, “I really enjoyed the presentations and I learned a lot. It was nice having my questions answered on the spot”.
Future Women´s Excellence community education offerings are also scheduled on Tuesday, May 21st at 11:30 am in Clarkston at Independence Township Senior Adult Activity Center, 6000 Clarkston Rd., on osteoporosis and bladder control, and on Monday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm at The Orion Center on menopause and endometriosis/chronic pelvic pain in women.
