Growth continues as The Granite House, a New Hampshire based extended care program for men, makes several new changes to its program. This all around expansion at the house will help to ensure better service to clients and families during their journey of personal recovery.
Phases one and two, of the three-phase sober living environment offered at The Granite House, now has increased programming and the overall structure has been streamlined and improved. In an effort to establish the highest levels of personal accountability and success, there have also been some important additions to the recovery support staff and recovery case management team. Together these changes will allow for increased structure, guidance and support for the residents at the facility.
Christopher Thigpen joins the case management team from Austin, Texas where he helped in opening Anchor West, a 90-day drug and alcohol treatment program. After one year as the Director of Recovery Services, Chris made the decision to come back North to New Hampshire, where he is originally from, and join The Granite House family. Mr. Thigpen has a comprehensive knowledge of the recovery process having been directly affected by addiction himself. After achieving two years of sobriety and a series of life changing experiences along the way, it is his mission to help others seek out the ability to conquer their recovery, and re-create lives free from the grip of drugs and alcohol.
Chief Operations Officer, Bill Simmons, shared his thoughts on the changes to the programming and staff. “The Granite House is becoming bigger, better and stronger than ever before. With the added talent, such as that of Mr. Thigpen, we can better serve and continue to provide more services for less.”
