Angel MedFlight Helps Provide Transport for Young Organ Transplant Recipient

Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance recently arranged the medical transport of a young patient in need of a liver transplant.

Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance announced today it recently facilitated the transport of a 9-year-old patient in need of a liver transplant.

Angel MedFlight received the call from the patient's mother when the organ became available and the air ambulance company's flight coordinators quickly dispatched an aircraft to the sending facility in Minnesota. The patient was then flown 753 miles to Pittsburgh where at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh UPMC the liver transplant was completed.
