Advanced Patient Advocacy, LLC (APA) announced today that they have been selected by the Federal Government to serve as Patient Navigators to the citizens of Florida, Kansas, Virginia and West Virginia as part of the federally sponsored healthcare exchanges in those states.

Advanced Patient Advocacy, LLC (APA) announced today that they have been selected by the Federal Government to serve as Patient Navigators to the citizens of Florida, Kansas, Virginia and West Virginia as part of the federally sponsored healthcare exchanges in those states.

According to the requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Patient Navigators will provide education and guidance for uninsured citizens to help them select the private healthcare plan that best meets their needs. Patient navigators will also be responsible for conducting public education activities, such as attending health fairs and other local events to raise awareness of the Exchanges and coverage opportunities.
