Fresh Proxy List Unblocks Sites at Speed
idcloak has increased input of free new servers to the Fresh Proxy List in order to improve proxy speeds.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 04, 2013
idcloak Technologies has accelerated the introduction of new public proxy servers into its free Working IP Proxy List, which this week topped 2,000 fully functioning addresses.
“With a wider variety of proxies to choose from,” says idcloak’s Robin Welles, “users will be more likely to find a proxy close to their actual location and less likely to have to share it with others. Both factors carry a significantly positive impact on proxy speed.”
Proxies are generally used for unblocking sites or pages that are unavailable from a certain connection or location. Other functions, such as anonymous browsing and anti-surveillance, are also popular among proxy users.
The proxy servers on the fresh Proxy List are of the IP address variety, meaning that, instead of accessing the proxy server via a website, the user may enter the IP and port number of the server directly into their browser or, in the case of SOCKS proxies, other programs, like Skype or Torrents. Doing so establishes a direct and continuing connection with the proxy.
“IP connection to the proxy server has major benefits for those seeking to bypass censorship restrictions,” says Welles, “as the absence of a website intermediary makes it much harder for web filters to detect a proxy is being used.”
The other popular type of free unblocker, the site-based proxy service, is more susceptible to blocks by filters because the proxy function is divulged through the site’s HTML code. For this reason, Welles says, the site-based proxy is “more of a solution for unblocking georestrictions, such as YouTube videos unavailable in a specific country.”
These recent enhancements to the fresh Proxy List come just weeks before idcloak releases its first subscription-based proxy – the idcloak VPN service, “For those with regular proxy needs, we wanted to offer a more dependable, high-performance service. The VPN proxy is just that.”
An Early-Bird discount for the idcloak VPN proxy is now available. See idcloak.com to learn more.
