Industry Veteran Brings Electrolyte Manufacturing and Distribution Expertise

Boulder Ionics, a leading producer of ionic liquid based electrolytes for advanced energy storage, today announced the appointment of Edward Frindt, former CEO of Novolyte, to the company's Board of Directors.
Frindt brings more than 25 years of management and business development experience in the global chemical industry, including executive roles with Ferro Corporation and Synthetic Products Company before becoming CEO of Novolyte in 2008. At Novolyte, Frindt was responsible for the strategic direction and growth of a global specialty chemical business that had operations in the US, Europe and Asia that was spun out of Ferro Corporation. During his tenure, Novolyte experienced compound annual sales growth of 25%. In 2012 the company was sold to BASF. He is currently CEO of IGM Resins, a global supplier of materials to the UV coating, inks and adhesives industries.
