"Leading Edge" announces programming featuring sustainable and creative practices in building science.

Many people in earlier years never imagined that buildings would one day scrape the sky. In today's world, large construction is a part of everyday life. Towering skyscrapers, bridges that span miles, and sports stadiums can be found all across the United States and the world.

These buildings do not just spring up out of the ground. Each building takes time, money, and natural resources. This has become an area of concern in the last decade as construction has been seen as a contributor to pollution and greenhouse gases which contribute to global warming.

"Leading Edge", hosted by famed coach and commentator Jimmy Johnson, is announcing content partnerships to explore trends in the architecture world which focus on how to be more environmentally friendly. The series will explore everything from architectural designs that use less energy, to those that harness the power of wind and the sun in order reduce or eliminate energy costs.

This TV program is channeled to Public Television stations throughout the United States and is not directly distributed through PBS.
