Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013
World-renowned pioneers in mind-body healing― Deepak Chopra, M.D. and Andrew Weil, M.D. ― will teach Journey into Healing: What Are You Hungry For? this March 6–9 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
Journey into Healing is the Chopra Center’s signature mind-body wellness workshop, where Chopra Center co-founder Dr. Deepak Chopra and other mind-body medical experts teach an integrative approach to health care and wellbeing that combines the newest discoveries in modern medicine with the healing wisdom of the East, with a special focus on Ayurvedic medicine.
The theme of this March’s Journey into Healing workshop is "What Are You Hungry For?"- which is also the title of Deepak Chopra’s just-released book and new PBS special coming out this December. What Are You Hungry For? is a mind-body-spirit approach to losing weight and gaining health and true fulfillment.
"Obesity has become a major epidemic in the United States and other industrialized nations, contributing to chronic health issues that include heart disease, diabetes, and some kinds of cancer. Many people overeat because they are trying to find satisfaction and wind up using food as a substitute for real fulfillment," said Deepak Chopra.
"This March at Journey into Healing, we will focus on a permanent, natural solution to weight loss that’s about discovering what we’re really hungry for and finding ways to nourish our deepest desires. When we feel truly fulfilled, emotionally and spiritually, we’ll naturally stop eating for the wrong reasons and shed the excess baggage we’ve been carrying, including extra weight, self-criticism, guilt, pain, and limiting beliefs," Dr. Chopra said.
Journey into Healing is an in-depth course in mind-body medicine led by. Deepak Chopra and a team of the world’s foremost experts in integrative and holistic health care. Every year hundreds of people from around the world attend Journey into Healing ― including health care professionals as well as individuals seeking to learn the principles and practical tools for cultivating health, preventing disease, and living a longer, happier life.
At the Journey into Healing workshop this March, Dr. Andrew Weil will be a keynote speaker and guest lecturer. Dr. Weil is recognized as a leading authority in integrative health care, conscious eating, and optimal nutrition. He is the best-selling author of many books on health and wellbeing, including True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure; Spontaneous Happiness; Healthy Aging; Eight Weeks to Optimum Health; Spontaneous Healing; and Natural Health, Natural Medicine.
