Fact or Fricton? Doctor’s Novel Heals, Captivates
Dr. James Fricton’s New Book Provides Both Real-life Insights Into Healthy Living and a Romantic Thrill Ride
Minneapolis (PRWEB) February 11, 2014
Everyone has encountered a zombie or two in their lifetime—a person whose negative attitudes suck the energy out of anyone around.
Dr. James Fricton set out to write a book about the factors that tip the balance between health and illness, particularly chronic pain, and what actions can be taken to enhance energy and wellness in the seven realms of our lives–the mind, body, spirit, lifestyle, emotions, society, and environment. He ended up with a tale that is part self-help book, part thriller and part Italian romance.
The author, who is also a professor at the University of Minnesota, a researcher and a pain specialist, recently released “The Last Scroll,” a story he hopes will both captivate readers and help them avoid becoming zombies.
Fricton’s main characters hope to reverse the negative trends in the world that have caused seven plagues (illness, depression, corruption, poverty, hate, war and drought) by conducting controversial research at an ancient Roman spa in Italy.
The research links two events destined to change the course of history–a groundbreaking technology that measures the essence of life itself and the last Dead Sea Scroll, which reveals universal truths about the nature of life. The protagonists find themselves the target of a fanatical killer, who is also determined to save the world—and plans to do so by stopping their research.
“The Last Scroll” aims to help its readers live a more fulfilling life by teaching ways to understand the seven realms in one’s own life and become the “warrior within,” spreading positive energy to the world.
As Fricton would say, “It’s all about your energy.”
