WV Water Contamination/ Chemical Spill Business Summit Approved for Feb. 26, 2014 in Charleston
Concerned Business Owners invited to attend Business Summit to be broadcast on WCHS
CHARLESTON, W. Va. (PRWEB) February 12, 2014
A summit spearheaded by The Bell Law Firm will address the growing concerns of Charleston-area small business owners in response to the January Freedom Industries chemical spill and West Virginia American Water contamination still affecting nine counties in West Virginia.
“Our goal at the summit is to advise Charleston area business owners on how best to proceed to protect their interests, and to remind them that they are not alone in their struggles,” said Harry F. Bell, Jr., managing partner of The Bell Law Firm.
“This has been a difficult experience for so many businesses in our area, we want them to know they have a network of supporters to turn to. While this summit is directed to affected businesses, the strong support of WCHS/WVAH in broadcasting this assists the community as a whole to learn from a panel prepared to give answers, not excuses, whenever possible.”
The summit will be held in downtown Charleston at the Four Points by Sheraton on Feb. 26. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and attendants must be seated by 5 p.m. for live TV broadcast; the summit will conclude at 7 p.m. “This event will allow us to communicate directly with all of our neighbors that have been affected by the chemical spill, and our legal team is prepared to answer whatever questions they have. WCHS TV Anchor Rick Lord will moderate this important meeting,” Bell said.
Mr. Bell noted that West Virginia State Senator Chris Walters and Delegate Doug Skaff will be in attendance, and Dixon Hughes Goodman CPA firm will discuss business loss claims.
“We expect to have private testing consultants and other experts available. We’re looking forward to an informative and successful summit directed to the affected businesses in the nine county area,” said Bell.
The Bell Law Firm’s legal team will address what is involved if a business wishes to join the class action litigation the firm filed Jan. 10 in Kanawha County (Civil Action Nos. 14-C-53 and 14-C-55.) This event is by invitation only and has limited seating. Business owners and individuals interested in attending the summit should email hdharrison(at)belllaw(dot)com or call (304) 345-1700.
