Judy Mindin Promoted to Communications Director of ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Glendale, WI (PRWEB) February 14, 2014
Today, ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis announced the promotion of Judy Mindin to Communications Director. A seven-year veteran of ABCD, Judy has held roles in administration, special events and mission services. She most recently served as Communications and Development Manager for ABCD. In her new role, Judy will also serve on the organization’s executive leadership team.
As Communications Director, Judy will lead ABCD’s mission outreach work with the healthcare community, medically underserved populations and the general public. She will also expand ABCD’s partnerships and collaborations with sister cancer organizations and key supporters in Wisconsin and nationwide. In her refined role, Judy will draw on more than two decades of corporate marketing, sales and personalized customer service experience from both the consumer beverage and private client visual arts arenas.
Founded in 1999 by Emmy Award-winning journalist, Melodie Wilson Oldenburg, ABCD provides free, personalized information and one-to-one support to people affected by breast cancer – patients, families and friends. While science searches for a cure, ABCD provides support now to those impacted by breast cancer.
Ahead of its time in the field of cancer survivorship service, ABCD’s continuum of free services includes immediate support from Helpline Mentors, connection to personalized resources from Resource Mentors and, ABCD’s signature service, ongoing customized support from Match Mentors.
ABCD is in the midst of dramatic expansion with deeper levels of service in southeast Wisconsin and broader service statewide. In addition, ABCD’s services, which are provided via telephone and internet, are increasingly provided across the nation.
This expansion is part of a multi-year strategic plan to transform the expectations for breast cancer support and empower survivors for a healing journey.
