Transformative Technology Changing the Way We Make Things

February 16, 2014

From 3d to digital to conventional printing and coating, ultraviolet and electron beam materials are revolutionizing manufacturing and design, offering a range of industries greater speed, more precise control, superior physical properties, and cleaner, safer processes.

Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) February 16, 2014

A little known, but widely used process that is rapidly enabling new industrial science is the topic of nearly 100 presentations spotlighting advanced materials, super fast throughput and clean production, at an upcoming Conference in May in Chicago. The use of UV (ultraviolet) and EB (electron beam) technologies are rapidly finding their way into sustainable manufacturing and design solutions. Conference presenters will explore how next-gen UV and EB materials are already, or are set to change the way we make things, including for food packaging, electronic displays and touchscreens, medical and dental procedures, architecture and building products, and surface protection and decoration. Presentations at the event include the use of LEDs, Digital Printing, Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing, Bio-engineering and Materials, Smart Materials, and Surface Patterning and Modification. In addition, a technology exhibition will demonstrate the latest materials and techniques for utilizing UV and EB in an array of processes.
