Murrysville Area EMS Personnel Recognized in On-Field Ceremony Before Tonight’s Pirates Game at PNC Park
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 23, 2014
April 9 began as a beautiful spring day at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville. Suddenly at 7:13 a.m. everything changed. An attacker armed with a pair of 8-inch kitchen knives senselessly stabbed and slashed 22 students and faculty members in the school's crowded hallways.
EMS personnel were on the scene in minutes, treating and transporting the most critically injured students from the school to Forbes Hospital’s Trauma Center and other area hospitals. At least four of the students injured were considered critical and were in need of immediate life sustaining treatment. Today, all students are well on their way to a complete recovery.
