Portable Air Teams Up With Brad Pitt
Portable Air partners with actor for this year's "Make It Right Foundation" Gala benefiting Hurricane Katrina victims.
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) June 03, 2014
Professional temporary climate control and power solutions provider Portable Air proudly partnered with actor Brad Pitt’s Make it Right Foundation on May 17, 2014 at the 2014 fundraiser gala which benefited Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans, disabled veterans in Newark, New Jersey, underserved families in Kansas City, Missouri and Native Americans on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana.
This year’s event was held at the Sugar Mill in the historic Warehouse District of New Orleans, LA. Portable Air provided special event quality cooling units including eight separate 20 ton vertical air conditioners to produce a comfortable interior environment for the guests and performers throughout the venue. Portable Air was happy to supply custom painted grills on the air conditioning equipment, allowing the equipment to blend with other design elements of the project, specifically a black tent liner throughout the entire tent. To ensure there were no power interruptions, Portable Air also provided 250 KW and 56 KW generators, with power distribution for all lighting and sound equipment, and all restroom and talent trailers on site.
In addition to hardware, Portable Air arranged an on-site technician, Eric Thornton. “This event was a lot of fun to be part of. The staff was great to work with, and our equipment performed very well. The guests were satisfied and comfortable. Even in that typically hot climate, I don’t believe it got over 70°F the entire time at the venue. It was great to partner with the Make it Right Foundation, who is helping rebuild one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans’ 9th district. They’ve really improved the area and it’s an incredible difference. I’m happy we could support this cause and we would love to work with them again.”
