Former President Bush to Back McCain

Former President George H.W. Bush is expected to endorse Republican presidential front-runner John McCain in Houston Monday, it was reported.
Bush's endorsement of the Arizona senator comes in advance of the March 4 Texas primary.
The Politico reports that the former president's endorsement could help McCain shore up support among some conservatives. The endorsement also puts pressure on McCain's rival, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, to exit the race now that the Arizona senator is the presumptive GOP nominee, Politico said.
The former president's son, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has also endorsed McCain.
President George W. Bush told Fox News last Sunday that he would tout McCain's conservative bona fides once he is officially the Republican the nominee.
