Winehouse’s Hubby Pleads Guilty
June 9, 2008
Blake Fielder-Civil, the husband of British singer Amy Winehouse, pleaded guilty in a London court to assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Fielder-Civil has been in jail awaiting trial since last November.
People.com said he changed his plea last week during pretrial motions.
Fielder-Civil has admitted he assaulted James King, the landlord of Macbeth’s pub in London, then conspired to pervert the course of justice by offering King money to change his story and leave the country.
Fielder-Civil is expected to be sentenced in about a month, People.com said.
