Hundreds of people gathered Thursday to pay final respects to Israeli Sgt. Maj. Eldad Regev whose body was returned in a prisoner swap.
Thousands more were reported on hand the day before for the funeral of Sgt. Maj. Ehud Goldwasser, the other solder whose body was handed over to Israeli authorities in exchange fore several Hezbollah prisoners, Ynetnews reported.
A convoy of military vehicles carrying the coffins of Regev and Goldwasser left the Lebanon border and arrived at an Israeli military post in the country's north.
The soldiers' families spent about an hour with the coffins, placed in two tents erected earlier in the day, Ynetnews said
