British soul singer Amy Winehouse's likeness has been rendered in wax at Madame Tussauds in London.
The BBC said Winehouse's parents, Mitch and Janis, were on hand for the unveiling of the wax statue, which featured the Grammy Award-winning artist's trademark beehive hairdo and sailor tattoos, as well as the flirty outfit she wore to the Brit Awards.
Mitch Winehouse said the likeness was absolutely incredible.
It captures her totally ... but she's not that skinny anymore, the BBC quoted him as saying. I can't get over the tattoos. They are perfect.
He also said his 24-year-old daughter continues to battle her high-profile addiction to drugs.
She's on a drug replacement program and she's doing really well, he said. She has two or three more live gigs, then she will be working on her new album. She's got quite a few songs already.
