Delta Customers Affected By Hurricane Gustav May Change Travel Plans Without Penalties or Fees Through Sept. 8; Airline Adds Flights Between Atlanta and New Orleans

ATLANTA, Aug. 31, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) customers booked on flights to, from or through New Orleans and other select destinations may make adjustments to their travel schedule without penalty or fees due to flooding and high winds expected from Hurricane Gustav. The airline today plans to operate its regular schedule between New Orleans and Atlanta, along with three additional scheduled flights, to assist customers evacuating the New Orleans area. Due to the hurricane, New Orleans airport operations will cease temporarily at 6 p.m. CT today.
Customers who purchased tickets by Aug. 26, 2008 and are scheduled to travel on or before Sept. 3, to, from or through the following cities on Delta, Delta Connection(r) or Delta-coded flights may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed by Sept. 8 and travel begins on or before Sept. 8, 2008:
* Fort Walton Beach, Fla. * Gulf Port, Miss. * Louisiana * Mobile, Ala. * Panama City, Fla. * Pensacola, Fla.Customers who purchased tickets by Aug. 26, 2008 and are scheduled to travel on or before Sept. 1, to, from or through the following countries on Delta, Delta Connection(r) or Delta-coded flights may make a one-time change without penalty or additional fees if tickets are changed by Sept. 1, 2008 and travel begins on or before that date:
* Dominican Republic * JamaicaChanges to origin and destination may result in a fare increase. Any fare difference between the original ticket and the new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking. Customers whose flights are canceled may request refunds.
