North Korean Leader Watches Students’ Football Game; No Date Given

On this day, the Kim Il Sung University team won by 4:1 in the football game between the Kim Il Sung University and the Pyongyang University of Railways.
After watching the game, Comrade Kim Jong Il congratulated their game results, saying that our revolutionary and militant university students not only devote all their wisdom and passion to science research for the fatherland and the people, but also are good at art and sports activities.
While expressing great satisfaction over the fact that the Kim Il Sung University and Pyongyang University of Railways are fostering many competent national cadres and technical personnel carrying out leading roles in the revolution and construction and thus are actively contributing to realizing the cause of building a powerful state, he highly assessed the results achieved during the past period.
While saying that fostering our university students - who are shouldered with the fatherland's future -to become useful personnel possessed with high capability and strong physical strength has important significance in completing the Juche revolutionary cause and in building a rich and powerful fatherland, Comrade Kim Jong Il presented programmatic tasks that are guidelines in the university's educational culture and in developing sports.
Watching the game together were the party Central Committee responsible cadres including Ri Chae-il, first vice department director of the KWP Central Committee, and other functionaries concerned.
