Chrysler rolls out employee discount deal
DETROIT (Reuters) - The Chrysler arm of DaimlerChrysler
General Motors Corp.
The world's largest automaker extended the employeediscount program through Aug. 1 on Tuesday, prompting FordMotor Co.
Chrysler said its program, which began Wednesday and laststhrough Aug. 1, would shave thousands of dollars off thesticker prices of most 2005 models.
Dubbed "Employee Pricing Plus," the discount program doesnot include the hot-selling Chrysler 300 sedan, the DodgeMagnum wagon or the all-new Dodge Charger, a Chrysler spokesmansaid.
He said the Dodge Viper sports car and vehicles fromChrysler's SRT performance line were also excluded from thediscount program.
