Death toll in Red Sea bombings at 59 – Al Jazeera
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (Reuters) – The death toll from
bombings in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on
Saturday has risen to 59, the satellite news channel Al Jazeera
said, quoting Egyptian Interior Minister Habib el-Adli.
It carried the report in an on-screen news alert. Habib
flew to Sharm el-Sheikh from Cairo early on Saturday.
It also quoted Adli as saying he could not rule out a link
between the Sharm el-Sheikh bombings and attacks on Red Sea
resorts further north last October, when 34 people were killed.
