LONDON (Reuters) - The man mistakenly shot dead by London police hunting four bombers may have been Brazilian, Sky News said on Saturday.
Police have admitted they shot dead the wrong man on Friday as they combed London for four men after attempted bomb attacks on the city's transport system on Thursday.
"He may have been Brazilian," Sky said of the man's identity. "These are unconfirmed reports."
Asked to comment, a police spokesman told Reuters: "We have not released that information at this time. We will not do so until all the correct legal proceedings, including agreement with the family, have been completed."
