Stockton, CA (PRWEB) January 1, 2011

The Lexington Plaza Hotel on the Stockton waterfront is starting 2011 with a much brighter future under new ownership. After several rocky years this premier hotel property was acquired by the Stockton Arena Hotel and Conference Center, LLC which is owned by the Patrick Willis Family Trust. The owners have an extensive and diverse portfolio of commercial and resort properties and a track record of managing them to their fullest potential for long-term ownership.

The Lexington was a clear choice for inclusion in the portfolio with its outstanding architecture, high quality construction, and its location in the heart of Stockton’s Redevelopment Waterfront Area. The close proximity to the Stockton Arena and downtown also added to the interest in the property.

The Lexington is a seven”Âstory full”Âservice hotel and condominium building and is Stockton’s premier, upscale, 3″Âstar waterfront hotel property. Opened in December 2007, it offers 179 well appointed guestrooms and suites, 42 residential lofts and 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Amenities include city or waterfront views, 32″Âinch flat-screen televisions, completely smoke”Âfree environment, state”Âof”Âthe”Âart fitness center, pool and whirlpool, laundry service, high speed internet access and the recently reopened Delta Restaurant and Lounge.

The hotel sits along the waterfront in the heart of Stockton’s newly revitalized entertainment district, just 80 miles northeast of San Francisco and 45 miles south of Sacramento. The hotel is surrounded by numerous attractions. It’s just steps from the state-of-the-art Stockton Arena with its 12,000 seat capacity, Banner Island Ballpark and the Weber Point Events Center. The Bob Hope Theatre, the Stockton Cineplex Plaza, and the Stockton Marina, amongst numerous other attractions, lie within minutes of the hotel.

The new owners are retaining the Lexington flag and working closely with General Manager, Christopher Gamble, CHA, of GF Management, a national award winning hospitality management firm, to ensure a successful transition and growth of the property. Most of the existing employees have been with the hotel since its opening and it’s that kind of loyalty that Mr. Willis looks for and embraces. The Patrick Willis Family Trust is involved in the communities where it owns properties, both at the civic and charitable levels.

The Lexington Hotel will continue to be an integral part of the Stockton community for events, weddings, business conferences as well as a luxury destination for visitors to the Stockton area, UOP and other attractions.
