At least 7 dead, 20 injured in Sicily plane crash
PALERMO, Italy (Reuters) – At least seven people died and
20 were injured on Saturday when their Tunisair flight from
Italy to Tunisia crashed in the sea off Sicily after reporting
a technical fault, an emergency services official said.
The official said three people were missing.
The aircraft, with at least 35 passengers on board, made an
emergency landing in the sea after it reported a technical
fault to Palermo airport, but then failed to make it to land,
Italian authorities said.
