14 dead, 20 survivors in Sicily crash-magistrate

PALERMO, Sicily (Reuters) - Fourteen people died and 20
were injured on Saturday when their Tunisair-operated flight
from Italy to Tunisia made an emergency landing in the sea off
Sicily after reporting a technical fault, Palermo's chief
magistrate said.

In televised comments, Piero Grasso, in charge of
investigating the incident, said five people were missing.

A Tunisian government official told Reuters by telephone
earlier that 24 of 35 passengers, all Italians, survived the
crash.
