Failed London bombing suspects appear in court
LONDON (Reuters) – A British court remanded in custody on
Monday three men charged with attempted murder over failed
attempts to set off bombs on London’s transport system.
Yassin Hassan Omar, Ibrahim Muktar Said and Ramzi Mohammed
are also charged with conspiracy to murder and explosives
offences over the botched attacks on July 21.
They were arrested in police raids in Britain. British
authorities want to extradite a fourth suspect, known as Hamdi
Issac or Osman Hussein, who was arrested in Italy.
The failed bombings caused no casualties but took place two
weeks after four British Muslim men set off bombs on three
underground trains and a bus, killing themselves and 52 other
people in an attack police have linked to al Qaeda.
