Meatheads Pledges 25 Cents for Random Acts of Kindness

March 3, 2011

Campaign to benefit children and adults with disabilities served by Aspire.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 2, 2011

Meatheads Burgers & Fries is pledging 25 cents each for 10,000 random acts of kindness shared on Twitter, posted on Facebook or sent as e-mail beginning February 28th. The group of family restaurants hopes to raise $2,500 for Aspire (http://www.aspireofillinois.org), which serves children and adults with developmental disabilities.

“Raising money for Aspire provides us with a great opportunity to help families that are trying to help themselves,” said Tom Jednorowicz, managing partner of Meatheads. “As a restaurant with a goal of ingraining ourselves into each community we serve, we thought this would be a great way to work with our customers and neighbors in helping such a great cause.”

Anyone contributing to the campaign can alert Meatheads to their own Random Act of Kindness in the following ways:

1) On Twitter, pledge or report acts of kindness by tweeting with the hash tag #meatheadsact

2) On Facebook, write an act on Meatheads’ wall (http://www.facebook.com/meatheadsburgers)

3) By e-mail, send a message about an act of kindness to act(at)meatheadsburgers(dot)com

Additionally, Meatheads promises to perform one random act a week selected from Twitter requests. Team members will record what they do and post it at their “10,000 Strong” blog, http://www.meatheadsact.posterous.com/. To post a request, use the hash tag #meatheadsact.

“We are thrilled to partner with Meatheads on this innovative campaign,” said Jim Kales, president and CEO of Aspire. “What a great partnership to inspire the community and help people with disabilities.”
