Clifton, NJ (Vocus/PRWEB) April 04, 2011

Joseph Federico, Vice President of NJMET in Clifton, NJ, has announced that NJMET’s 2011 corporate sponsorship of the American Red Cross has been expanded to support efforts to relieve suffering following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in the north of Japan.

The America Red Cross has been providing financial and logistical support to the Japanese Red Cross since the earthquake occurred. It has been providing immediate relief in the areas of health care and emotional support to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami. The American Red Cross anticipates providing financial resources for longer term recovery projects as well.

“Our sponsorship means that a portion of proceeds from testing and procurement projects will be presented to the American Red Cross on December 31, 2011,” said Joseph Federico. “It’s something that we are very proud of.”

NJMET’s annual Red Cross sponsorship is one of several charitable efforts at NJMET. Other recent projects through the Red Cross include efforts to help those in Haiti, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
