LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Scattered power outages were reported across Los Angeles on Monday as utilities officials scrambled to determine the cause.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department said outages were reported in downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown and in the San Fernando Valley. Officials said power had not been lost at Los Angeles International Airport.
"We're in contact with the D.W.P. (Department of Water and Power) and they are trying to figure it out," the police spokeswoman said.
