Bomb kills US embassy security officer in Iraq

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – A bomb blast killed a U.S. security
officer near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Monday, the
U.S. embassy said on Tuesday.
A statement on the embassy website said Stephen Eric
Sullivan, a State Department security officer, was killed by a
roadside bomb attack on a convoy.
“Sullivan was one of nine Americans who lost their lives in
Iraq September 19-20, according to press reports,” said the
statement.
