Adelaide airport reopens after powder scare

October 9, 2005

MELBOURNE (Reuters) – The domestic terminal at Adelaide
airport in South Australia was closed on Sunday for about two
hours after powder was found leaking from luggage being loaded
on to a Jetstar plane, police said.

The white powder turned out to be harmless, a police
spokesman said. “There was no danger to anybody.”

He said police believed the substance was laundry powder.
