Pilots lose bid to force Delta payments
NEW YORK (Reuters) – A U.S. bankruptcy court judge on
Monday rejected efforts by Delta Air Lines Inc. pilots to force
the carrier to make contributions to its pension plans that
were due on October 15.
The ruling by Bankruptcy Judge Prudence Beatty freed Delta,
which sought bankruptcy protection last month, from having to
pay $160 million due to its pilots’ pension plan as of October
15, as well as additional monthly contributions which would
have otherwise been due.
