Israel kills Jihad militant in Gaza air strike

JABALYA, Gaza Strip (Reuters) - An Israeli air strike killed an Islamic Jihad member in the Gaza Strip on Thursday after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon vowed a crackdown on Palestinian militants, witnesses said.
They said six Palestinians were also wounded when a missile struck a car in Jabalya refugee camp, a militant bastion.
Islamic Jihad, one of several militant groups spearheading a Palestinian revolt, killed five Israelis in a suicide bombing on Wednesday.
