Police: Serial Rapist Stalking Miami

A serial rapist has been linked to eight sexual assaults, including three on young girls, in a neighborhood just a few miles from one that was terrorized by another serial rapist this summer, police said.
DNA tests conducted in recent days connected three other rapes with the man who raped two girls, ages 7 and 8, on Nov. 28, police said Friday. He is also suspected in three other sexual assaults and an attempted attack. The victims range in age from 7 to 37.
All of the attacks took place in a concentrated region of Liberty City, a neighborhood northwest of downtown Miami.
In September, police arrested Reynaldo Elias Rapalo, 32, and charged him with raping seven women between the ages of 11 and 79 in Little Havana.
Police said the suspect in the current rapes covers his face and carries a handgun or knife.
"In all these cases he finds an open window, or an open door," said Miami-Dade police spokesman Juan DelCastillo.
In the latest assaults, the rapist crawled through an open window into a home where the two girls were asleep in their beds. He had a silver handgun and covered his face, raped the girls and fled when they screamed, police said.
