January 12, 2006
TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran said on Thursday it was not worried
about being referred to the United Nations Security Council
over its nuclear programme, a senior official said.
“We are not worried about our nuclear case to be sent to
the Security Council,” Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli, deputy
secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told
state television.
The European Union’s three biggest powers said on Thursday
that talks with Iran had reached a dead end and agreed it
should be hauled before the Security Council.
