Huffman wins best actress Globe for ‘Transamerica’

BEVERLY HILLS, California (Reuters) - Felicity Huffman won
the Golden Globe award on Monday for best actress in a film
drama for her portrayal of a man on the verge of becoming a
woman through a sex change operation in "Transamerica."

The Golden Globe Awards are given out by the Hollywood
Foreign Press Association and many winners go on to win Oscars,
the U.S. film industry's top awards, which are given out by the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
