NY bus station reopens after suspect package

NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York city's biggest bus terminal
was briefly evacuated during lunchtime on Thursday as police
inspected a suspicious package, but the station was opened
shortly after, police on the scene said.

Rumors of a bomb threat had prompted a modest slip in the
U.S. dollar against the euro and the Swiss franc, traders said.

Police at the Port Authority said the problem had been
cleared up and people were being allowed to re-enter the
transportation hub on 42nd Street.
