Bird flu found in cats in southern Austria

VIENNA (Reuters) - The deadly H5N1 birdflu virus has been found in cats in the southern Austrian region of Styria, a spokeswoman for the regional government's minister of agriculture and health said on Monday.
The spokeswoman confirmed that the virus was of the H5N1 variety and was found in several cats in Styria, but declined to be drawn on details ahead of a news conference scheduled for 4 p.m.
