Milosevic died from heart failure: Serbian TV
BELGRADE (Reuters) – Former Yugoslav President Slobodan
Milosevic died from heart failure, Serbian state television
said on Sunday.
Quoting “unofficial but reliable sources,” Serbian
television’s correspondent in The Hague said pathologists
examining Milosevic’s body found the cause of death to be
“classical heart failure.”
CNN television, quoting sources close to the U.N. war
crimes tribunal in The Hague, said Milosevic died of a “massive
heart attack.”
It said it was not yet sure whether he had died of natural
causes but that would become clear after the results of
toxicology tests. The results of the tests would not be clear
for another 24 hours, Serbian state television said.
Serbian television also said the autopsy report on the
cause of death of Slobodan Milosevic was due out within an hour
a source at the United Nations tribunal said at 2030 GMT on
Sunday.
