DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (Reuters) - Six people, including three policeman and two paramilitary troops, were killed in an explosion in a police vehicle in northwest Pakistan on Sunday, police and witnesses said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blast as the police vehicle was patrolling near the town of Dera Ismail Khan. The town is near the troubled South Waziristan tribal region, where security forces have been battling al Qaeda-linked militants and their local supports over the past two years.
