Cheruiyot wins men's Boston Marathon

BOSTON (Reuters) - Kenyan Robert Kipkoech Cheruiyot won his second Boston Marathon on Monday in an unofficial course record time after overtaking fellow Kenyan Benjamin Maiyo and American Meb Keflezighi.
Cheruiyot finished in an unofficial time of two hours, seven minutes and 14 seconds. The previous course record of 2:07:15 was set by Cosmas Ndeti of Kenya in 1994.
Cheruiyot becomes the 14th Kenyan to win the prestigious marathon since 1991.
